Hi~ Hi~

Developer Kats here, I'm starting to create games again! Hurrah! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:・ﾟ

This is the first project in the series of many. I'm trying to create a structure that works really well for me so that I can release an idea I've had in conception for the last year and a bit. It's still got a lot of setup left for me to create and that's really daunting. џ(ºДºџ)

I'm confident though!
I truly believe in my ideas and creating these small projects like Hacker Tracker are the start of it.  ( ‾ʖ̫‾)
Bringing me to cut features in the interest of laziness and completing the project was a very different experience and having the complete freedom to do so I think overall helped me to finish and improve the game so rapidly.  ᕦ(  ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ᕤ

When I first made this project, everyone on the really, really, barely feature working, only game screen, would lose instantly without understanding how to play at all.  Which wasn't what I was expecting.. Σ(･o･;)

While it was definitely  horrifying, I wanted to complete the project as soon as possible and I also wanted to keep these "awesome" ideas I had for the play cycle. Which would've taken a large commitment to actually make it work which I wasn't exactly excited to do. ε=┌(;･_･)┘

So in favour of laziness, I decided to just keep it simple. Which involved cutting out this feature I thought would be awesome in concept and didn't work in practice. The result.... I threw it in front of a few people and they were actually interested in playing it. (●≧ω≦)9

Success! While it's a small game and they played for like 10 minutes or so, it was still amazing to see people actively go "Ah, I'm good... Oh wait there's another one... Okay I'm don- there's another 3! *tap tap tap* okay so- Woah, 2 more!" While they all did eventually manage to break out of the game, I still found that an awesome little experience which I almost forgot happens when you make a fun little project. (˶‾᷄ ⁻̫ ‾᷅˵)

With all that said, I'll be creating another project soonish~ I'm thinking about joining a bunch of the random game jams from Itch and just trying to make stuff really rapidly this year. I might start creation of my overarching goal, but I might also not seeing as I got a lot of other responsibilities this year to take care of.  ヾ(。￣□￣)ﾂ
